Tim joined GBU in October 2017 as the Investment Manager.  In December of 2018, he assumed the title and responsibilities of Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Tim’s responsibilities include managing the $3.3 billion fixed-income portfolio, the investment accounting functions, and relationships with external investment advisors.   In his previous work at Highmark Health, he served as director of portfolio management focused on capital preservation and income generation.  In his 24-year career with Highmark, Tim served in the Treasury department. His responsibilities included cash management, portfolio management, and banking relationships with money center and regional banks.

Tim earned the CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) Certification in 1998 and is currently a CTP holder. The Association of Financial Professionals awards the CTP credential after passing a certification exam and verifying suitable employment within the finance industry. The CTP credential demonstrates global standards for financial excellence.

Tim graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s Bachelor of Arts, Economics, and Bachelor of Sciences curriculum in Business Administration in 1993. In 1995, Tim earned his MBA from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
